Public Liability insurance

Public Liability insurance covers the cost of legal action and compensation claims made against your business if a third party is injured or their property suffers damage whilst at your business premises or when you are working in their home, office or business premises.

Office accommodation providers, landlords and serviced offices will often insist on a firm having public liability cover.

The policy not only covers any awards paid to the complainant but also legal costs.

In the event of a claim, you will have direct access to a qualified claims team who will be able to assist and guide you through what can be a stressful time.

Your policy will be bespoke to the services your firm provides to clients, however the majority of our policies provide the following coverage:

• Damages and Claims Expenses
  Damages and claims expenses which you are legally obligated to pay due to a claim for bodily injury or property damage in the course of your professional services.
   
• Pollution Liability
  Damages and claims expenses which you are legally obligated to pay due to a claim for bodily injury or property damage caused by pollution in the course of your professional services.
   
• Criminal Defence Costs
  Insurers will contribute to defence costs should a criminal action be brought against you by a governmental, administrative or regulatory body for any breach of statute or regulation.
   
• Court Attendance
  Contribution towards costs for your attendance in court based on a day-rate.
