Co-working office insurance
So, you’re on top of your game. Your business is just starting up, or in its early stages of growth. You’ve got your business plan, you’ve developed a sales and marketing strategy and you’ve got all the kit and equipment you need. You’re aiming to enhance and develop your business presence without the commitment of a traditional office, so you’ve managed to secure some shared office workspace: a vibrant business environment where entrepreneurship is championed and networking is its lifeblood.
But what about your insurance? Standard commercial property policies are simply not equipped to deal with the particular risks associated with shared office space, which is where our unique shared office scheme comes in.
Our co-working office insurance is designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, professionals and start-up businesses in shared office spaces and drop-in business hubs.
Our scheme can provide innovative cover to meet the needs of owners and operators of the shared working spaces too.
What is shared office cover?
Our unique shared office insurance package combines Office Contents, Professional Indemnity and Public Liability covers:
- Office Contents
In the early days, a lot of your investment capital may be used to acquire new business equipment such as computers, tablets or other specialist kit. Accidents happen and being unable to meet a deadline for a client due to a lost or stolen laptop could have costly implications for your business. These risks are amplified in a shared office space. Yourshield can protect your valuable equipment when at work, at home or away on business.
- Professional Indemnity
It’s important to have Professional Indemnity (PI) cover in place from the get-go. Clients are increasingly asking for professional service providers to carry PI cover and may ask for evidence before agreeing to work with you. It’s also a great way to demonstrate you take a responsible approach to your work. PI cover can both pay claims and offer additional support including defence costs and access to claims advisers.
- Public liability
Covers the cost of legal action and compensation claims made against your business if a third party is injured or their property suffers damage whilst at your shared office space or when you are working in their home, office or business premises. Indeed, shared office space providers will often insist that you have public liability cover.
Our insurer can also contribute towards court attendance and criminal defence costs, should the need arise.
